She was about to tell him he needed to come up with another good idea, but she didn’t get a chance to finish the sentence. That’s because in the next instant, his hands were on her face and his warm lips were on hers.  

The kiss was unexpected, distracting, and…amazing.  

As soon as his lips touched hers she forgot about everything…the guns, the zip line, rescuing Tori. It started out soft. His lips gently coaxing and teasing hers, but then it quickly turned hot and demanding as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. She felt an immediate reaction to his touch…a pulse of heat and longing rush through her, as his tongue explored her lips and mouth.  

Reece kissed him back hungrily, her hands roaming over his arms, exploring their contour and strength. When she moved to press her body deeper into the feel of his hard chest, JB broke the kiss and stepped away. 

She looked up at him dazed and…wanting more. The breath completely kissed out of her.  

His eyes were dark, filled with want and passion. He took a deep, ragged breath, stepped back even further and then without another word, and without any protest from her, JB moved to help her step into the second harness. Turning her around, so her back was to his chest, he tethered the locks on the vests. Reece was vaguely aware of another series of clicks which attached them to the cable spanning the ravine.

Then with one arm wrapped tightly around her waist and the other holding the handle, JB pushed them off the edge of the cliff.
